Why are there people who are earning 10k or more monthly?

Wondering why others’ salaries could be 2 times or even multiple times more than you? What are the exact traits of those who are earning more than 10k a month? 

Throughout the years as a recruiter, I think the talents could be categorized by 4 types:

Type D: 

Those who have to work under supervision. Those who cannot work without instructions given and low learning capability. Pessimistic. Likes to blame others, believing they are being treated unfairly, but never look into their own problems. I always call Type D talents a disaster to a company.

Type C: 

Can handle their scope of duties within timelines, sometimes can even achieve their own KPI. However, they lack problem-solving skills. If any unexpected problems pop up, it’s difficult for them to cope. They could only handle within their role, other than that, they are not capable. In fact, the type C employee is the most common type of employee we see in the market. 

So, what’s the next level? 

Type B: 

Strong learning ability and can always do beyond their role. This type of person usually has good communication skills, and can get along with their subordinates and superiors well. They always want to learn from others to make themselves a better person. Managers and senior exec level employees are usually Type B personalities.

So, what about Type A?  

Type A: 

Perfectionist. They don’t need to be told what to do and they strive for excellence by all means. Type A personalities have a strong sense of observation and always stay up-to-date with the market trends. The Type A employee also has high negotiation and closing skills. They are also strong when it comes to connection and collaboration. They are also charismatic leaders that could inspire their followers to perform their tasks at a high level in the organization. People like this always achieve more than just accomplishing their goals. 

These top-notch qualities of talents are normally at the position of CEO, General Manager, Directors and they are also the “hot cakes” for head-hunters. Of course, people like these are always endowed with dazzling salaries. 

People who always complain that their salaries are not in line with their experience should take the time to figure out why others are earning more.

“Do these people possess better negotiation skills?” 

“Do these people have better problem-solving skills?” 

“Do these people generate high revenue or resources for the company?”

In order to achieve your desired salary, ask yourself what values you could generate for the company. If you don’t possess the above qualities, that’s no big deal. At least you are now better able to understand what qualities you are lacking. One could eventually achieve their desired salary through learning and improvement of new skills😊
