  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fast-paced environments within technology entrepreneurship and venture capitals or minimum 3 years of experience as community manager in Wework, Commonground, Sunway iLab or equivalent.
  • Master degree in relevant business discipline, e.g. Management, Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Business from University of Malaya, NUS, TsingHua University or equivalent.
  • Wide network of SMEs and potential customers.
  • Experience in real estate management, preferably involving tenants.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese, additional languages not mentioned will be considered favourable. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
  • Preferred languages: Japanese and Korean

Responsibilities/ Scopes

What we need:

As the co-working space manager, you will support the TusStar Malaysia team by managing its facility and community of startups, mentors, investors, and limited partners. You will be working closely with different members of TusStar Malaysia team and overseeing the daily operation of the community to meet company objectives of sales, revenue, brand and customer experience.

Job Description:

A) Facility Management: 

  • Oversee the building daily operation, i.e. managing appointments for facilities, inventory, onsite tour and check-ins.
  • Analyze tickets by area to identify and resolve issues presented to maximize availability of key facilities, i.e. IT-related failures, malfunctioning meeting room equipment etc.
  • Make timely recommendations to the related party on any cleaning, repairs, maintenance, or updates required in your building.
  • Review and update base building documents to ensure the data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Work closely with overseas branches or partners to facilitate check-ins or check-outs of overseas expanding members.
  • Manage and provide input on the P&L of the building and review monthly for optimization, including expense management.
  • Implement member safety plans, i.e. fire and emergency plans.
  • Produce quality control reports monthly that allow the team and stakeholders to be aligned on customer experience.
  • Complete other ad hoc duties and administrative tasks assigned by superior and management.  

B) Community Engagement: 

  • Act as the key point of contact for the community by providing professional and friendly service.
  • Develop community initiatives designed to ensure members access our services smoothly, i.e. member onboarding, introduction and perks activation.
  • Build a quarterly calendar and organize coworking events that are beneficial to our stakeholders.   
  • Manage member escalations and issues while managing expectations to ensure a cohesive community.
  • Gather data on members' business objectives to identify synergies that could help them achieve their goals.
  • Present professional market insights on both China and ASEAN when necessary.
  • Explain company policies to members as necessary 
  • Prepare customer satisfactory reports monthly, quarterly and yearly and submit them to superior and management.
  • Complete other ad hoc duties and administrative tasks assigned by superior and management.
