About the Role We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Corporate Communications Specialist/Assistant Manager to lead our brand, communications, digital, and events agenda. Key Responsibilities Brand and Corporate Identity: -Manage, review, and approve Canon logo and brand reference usage submitted across the organisation -Provide advisory and conduct training for staff on correct brand and corporate identity guidelines -Serve as the primary resource for general corporate information queries Internal Communications: -Write and produce newsletters for the local sales office -Contribute local news and updates to regional internal communications channels -Support the regional team with locally relevant content and information External Communications and Social Media -Manage PR and social media agencies as primary administrator and key liaison -Collaborate with business units on cross-functional promotions and campaigns -Plan and execute communications for corporate news, partnerships, and events Corporate Website -Serve as main website administrator — manage user access, training, and escalation to the regional team -Approve website and microsite applications; ensure compliance with web security standards -Upload and maintain up-to-date corporate content on the website Strategic Partnerships -Maintain and grow existing strategic partnerships -Identify and establish new partnerships to strengthen brand presence and support business growth CSR and ESG -Plan and execute corporate CSR events and submit entries for CSR awards -Advise the ESG committee on external environmental and social activities for inclusion in the ESG report Events Management -Plan and execute internal and external events, including biannual management kickoff meetings, the annual dealer appreciation dinner, and regional meetings hosted in Malaysia Budget and Operations -Manage the Corporate Communications department budget and submit required reports to the Finance team -Support regional initiatives requiring local submissions or CEO participation coordination -Manage and develop one direct report [Apply now at https://my.hiredly.com/jobs/jobs-malaysia-canon-marketing-malaysia-sdn-bhd-job-corporate-communications-specialist-assistant-manager] ; Requirements:- What We're Looking For -Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field -Minimum 4-8 years of relevant experience in corporate communications or a similar role -Prior experience in a communications or PR agency is an advantage -Strong writing and editing skills; ability to adapt tone across internal and external channels -Experience managing external agencies (PR, social media, events) -Familiarity with brand governance, digital platforms, and ESG/CSR reporting -Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously -A collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision
