AI Ready U: Building a Smarter Human and AI Workforce

AI Ready U: Building a Smarter Human and AI Workforce

Is the Business Truly Ready for AI?
On 26 June 2026, Job Majestic’s AI Ready U session explored an important question for business leaders: Are companies truly ready to use AI, or are they simply adding new technology to processes that are already unclear?

AI readiness begins with understanding the business first.

Before the session, participants completed an AI Operational Readiness Assessment and received a personalised report outlining their current readiness level, key business constraints and suggested next steps. This allowed the conversation to focus on the actual challenges within each organisation.

A People Problem or a System Problem?
Led by Jess, the first part of the session examined why teams may still feel overwhelmed even after hiring more people.

In many cases, the issue is not a lack of effort. It is how work, attention and responsibilities are distributed across the team.

Participants explored the difference between a people problem and a system problem. Low ownership may require better people management, while repeated delays, unclear approvals and leaders becoming the main bottleneck may indicate that the process itself needs to be redesigned.

A simple Human and AI Workforce model was introduced. Leaders continue to focus on strategy, people manage specialist work and relationships, while AI supports repetitive tasks that require speed, consistency and continuous attention.

Seeing AI in Action
The session continued with an open fireside conversation and live demonstrations by Simon from GenTech AI.

Participants saw how AI could support sales enquiries through WhatsApp, organise routine business reports and respond to common customer service questions.

These demonstrations showed how AI could reduce missed enquiries, shorten response times and remove repetitive reporting work. Instead of replacing employees, AI could create more space for customer relationships, decision-making and responsibilities that require human judgement.

Participants were encouraged to relate each example to their own businesses.

Which tasks are taking up too much time? Which processes are creating unnecessary delays? Where could AI provide practical support without making the workflow more complicated?

Start With the Work First
To close the session, participants were introduced to a simple three-step approach: map how work is currently divided, identify the tasks that AI could support and match those tasks with the right solution based on the organisation’s readiness.

At Job Majestic, we believe AI readiness begins with understanding the business first. The right starting point is not the newest tool or the biggest investment. It is knowing what needs to improve, what should remain human and where AI can genuinely make work better.

AI becomes more valuable when businesses are clear about the work before introducing the technology.
