Responsibilities: -Perform installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables. -Conduct fiber optic fusion and mechanical splicing for both single-mode and multi-mode fibers. -Interpret and work from fiber network plans, splicing diagrams, and technical documentation. -Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure proper signal transmission and troubleshoot faults. -Install enclosures, patch panels, and other fiber termination hardware. -Maintain accurate splicing records, test results, and daily activity logs. -Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards at all times. -Coordinate with team members and contractors to meet project deadlines. -Travel to various sites as needed for fieldwork. -Perform other duties related to fiber optic installation and maintenance as assigned.
