Job Description

Position: Business Development Executive / Manager
Location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor (Nationwide Focus)
Industry: Interior Design
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm; Saturday, 9am–1pm (5.5-day work week)
Salary:

Executive Level: RM 5,000 – RM 7,000/month
Manager Level: RM 12,000 – RM 18,000/month
Attractive commission/incentive scheme based on project acquisition

Overview:
A Singapore-based interior design firm is seeking a driven and proactive Business Development Executive / Manager to spearhead its expansion across Malaysia. The role is based in Johor Bahru with nationwide coverage, managing the entire BD process from lead generation to project handover.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the company’s presence in Malaysia
Identify and secure residential and commercial projects nationwide
Liaise between Johor office and Singapore HQ; report to Managing Director
Build strong networks with property developers, contractors, agencies, and clients
Represent the brand at industry events and networking platforms
Collaborate with project/design teams for smooth handovers and delivery
Conduct market research and prepare proposals, close deals, and support onboarding
Provide regular updates and reports on sales pipeline and performance

Job Requirements

2–5 years of relevant experience in interior design, property, or related sectors
Strong network and market knowledge across Malaysia (especially Johor)
Excellent communication skills (English, Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus)
Independent, confident, and willing to travel (including to Singapore occasionally)

Basic:

Executive Level: RM 5,000 – RM 7,000/month
Manager Level: RM 12,000 – RM 18,000/month

Commission/Incentives: To be structured based on project acquisition and revenue targets

Working Days: Monday to Saturday, 5.5 days, 44 hours work week

Monday to Saturday, 5.5 days, 44 hours work week. 9am to 6 pm for Monday to Friday, and 9am to 1pm for Saturday.
