Job Description
We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Assistant Manager, Sales (Roofing) to support sales growth and business development for aluminium roofing products in the Malaysia market. This role focuses on project-based selling, key account management, and building strong industry relationships to drive revenue and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive and expand sales for aluminium roofing products within Malaysia
- Identify and secure new projects through specification, tender, and direct sales channels
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
Client & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, fabricators, and business owners
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and site visits
- Ensure high level of customer satisfaction and service delivery
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
- Provide insights and feedback to support business strategies and decision-making
Sales Operations
- Prepare quotations, follow up on orders, and ensure timely conversion of projects
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain updated sales pipeline
- Coordinate with internal teams (Customer Service, Production, Operations, Technical) to ensure smooth execution and delivery
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
- 3–5 years of sales experience in roofing, building materials, construction, or related industries
- Strong network with contractors, architects, consultants, developers, and fabricators in Malaysia
- Proven track record in sales prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals
- Good understanding of project-based selling in construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and basic order systems
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-driven, result-oriented, and able to work independently
- Possess own transport and willing to travel within Malaysia
