About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Field Service Technician to support machine installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer service activities.
The ideal candidate shall possess strong knowledge in both mechanical and electrical systems and be capable of independently handling machine assembly, alignment, wiring verification, troubleshooting, and customer support activities. Experience in industrial automation machinery is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Installation & Commissioning
- Perform machine installation, setup, and commissioning at customer sites.
- Conduct machine alignment, calibration, and performance verification.
- Assist engineers in machine startup and FAT/SAT activities.
- Ensure machines meet customer requirements and production expectations.
Mechanical Support
- Perform mechanical assembly and machine modification works.
- Install and align: Ball Screws, Linear Guides, Conveyors, Pneumatic Systems, Servo Motor Assemblies & Robot End Effectors
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Replace defective mechanical components and perform machine upgrades.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
Electrical Support
- Perform machine wiring inspection and troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret:
- Electrical Schematics
- Pneumatic Drawings
- Wiring Diagrams
- Troubleshoot:
- Sensors
- Safety Devices
- Servo Drives
- VFD Systems
- PLC I/O Signals
- Support electrical panel installation and field wiring activities.
Automation Support
- Assist engineers in PLC and HMI testing.
- Verify machine I/O operation and communication networks.
- Support robot and vision system commissioning.
- Perform machine debugging and cycle time optimization.
Service & Customer Support
- Respond to customer breakdown calls and service requests.
- Diagnose machine failures and provide immediate solutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance and machine health checks.
- Prepare service reports and technical documentation.
- Conduct operator and maintenance training for customers.

Education
- Diploma or Certificate in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Automation Technology
- Related Technical Field
Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in industrial automation, machine building, or maintenance field.
- Experience in machine installation and onsite commissioning.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, packaging, medical device, or manufacturing automation industries is preferred.

- Robot/Cobot Basic Setup.
- Vision System Basic Troubleshooting.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical structures and electrical fundamentals; capable of independently performing on-site adjustments.
Added Advantages
- Experience with Epson Robots, Mitsubishi Robots, UR Cobot, or Fanuc Robots.
- Forklift or Scissor Lift operation experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and machine drawings.
- Experience in overseas installation projects.

- Able to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays as required by project schedules.
